It's older, but New at $12, a great deal & value. But I think that the Internet speeds are slower with that card, so have a Intel Advanced 6250 card with WiMax on the way, though I won't use that feature, it has a great wireless range, better than any other I have, it's the OEM supplied card in another notebook that I own. Mine was too, for the price, and is better than stock, the 6235 was offered in the SE series.Įnded up taking the OEM card & placing it in my notebook that had an Intel N1000 wireless card, so now it also has BT 4.0 if needed.
I'd have went with the 7200 series, however I'm never going to have an AC type router, so didn't see the need to spend an extra $20 for the card, though they're well rated. This network interface has reset 1 time (s) since it was last initialized. Reason: The network driver requested that it be reset.
There will be a momentary disruption in network connectivity while the hardware resets. I don't see why not, the wireless/BT card that shipped with mine was the same as yours (an Atheros card), and I replaced it with a Intel 6235 & it also have BT 4.0, and double the speeds, as well as dual band. Warning: The network interface 'Intel (R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260' has begun resetting.
